Surreal Landscape
Just messing about – this was taken with an infra-red filter on the camera (mainly to increase the exposure time) and then I panned the tripod as the shutter was open.

Sunset, Spanish Point
Putting the horizon half-way in the picture is usually a no-no, but sometimes it can work when you have a reflection.

Hawk
Taken at a display by ‘Animal Magic’ in Killaloe. They were there as part of the Brian Boru festival.

Startrails at White Strand Beach, Doonbeg

This is four exposures stacked, using software from startrails.de. I got a bit of flare from somewhere in the top-right corner, I must remember to put the lens hood on in future.
Boat at Sunset

Taken in Killaloe. In other news, the readership for this blog has ROCKETED to 226 whole page views a month. Thanks for reading, everyone!
Funderland
Unfortunately I couldn’t stay late enough to get some really cool long exposures. Plus I was afraid to go inside and get stared at by feral children.

Road to Nowhere
Well, technically it’s the Road to Kilbane , but it doesn’t have the same ring to it…

Flare
I have a bit of a soft spot for sun flare. It can ruin a photo if it’s unnecessary and distracting from the rest of the image, but if you make the photo about the flare, sometimes it can work. Of course, an essential ingredient in sun flare is, suprisingly, sun, something we don’t exactly get in great abundance. So it’s nice to take advantage of it when it comes!
